Economic study for the impact of establishing water users associations in the improved areas – case study: El-Atf canal – Egypt

Abstract Water users associations (WUAs) were established in Egypt to help rational distribution of irrigation water, the operation and maintenance improved Mesqas, solving disputes between farmers. This study aimed assess economic impact establishing water users' on improving farmers' income through increasing productivity decreasing cost.
